What do you mean?? where have i been?
i only picked the car up on the 24th of dec. we have several weeks of troublesome weather ..and the oil pan has just came in.
Unlike the usa we only have gotten 3200 in canada..compared to the usa's what 40,000 or so.
plus i don't have time to read the several pages of past posts...i have a problem and post the question when needed or wait until i encounter the problem.

No offense but thats not the best attitude. Just try using the search button to get replies for what you need and if there are none, ask. Otherwise why have people bothered to document all this before?

Oh, and BTW, it's not a recall - it's a TSB. AFAIK, there have been NO recalls on the RX-8 to date.

Oh I see. So since you're LAZY, you need to post a new thread over something that's been discussed TO DEATH. This has been a TSB since November 14. It doesn't matter when you got your car - this post is 3 months too late.

First, I don't spend hours on here like some people. But when I DO, and I have a question, I do a thorough search before posting a new thread. I'm sorry, but your ignorance is laughable.

And to show how easy it is, here's the link which i found in 5 SECONDS:

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=14453

Enjoy, newbie.

Okay, that's enough. It's one thing to point a new member in the right direction, but acting like an *** to someone you don't know for no reason is quite another. Especially if you're a longtime member and know better. All of you quit it.

essentialspeed, there's been a TSB out on the oil pan thing for a while now. What the guys are trying to say is if you do a search for "oil pan" you'll see that it's a pretty common issue. Sorry this thread got obnoxious, because it shouldn't have been.

Did mine as soon as the light came on the first time.( The forum stopped me from being scared to death) Was told it would take 3 days-it wound up being more like 6 days.

Well, I have been reading the forums for a bit and this is the first I have heard of an oil-pan concern. Add this one to the growing list of nits.

Anyway, before you ask: I do live under a rock....but it is a very cozy rock thankyou.

My question is this: Should I do a search in the forums for every mechanical part of the car so I can find out another something that may be a concern now or in the future? Hopefully not...but let me start...

*unrolls 27 foot long listing of car parts*

Ummm...were to start...ahhhh... *pokes at list with finger* Here...muffler clamps! I always had a thing for clamps...heh heh
