Oil Additives / Fuel Additives
Two questions:
1. Do any of you use any oil or fuel additives?
I use 12oz. of Berryman B12 Chemtool once every 3 months in the gas tank, and once ever 6 months in the oil (at oil change time).
It helps kept my engine running very well (absolutely no problems yet) on my 1998 Civic DX for 6 years now (120k on it).
I intend to do the same on my 8, however wanted to check with you guys (rotary veterans only, please)..
Second question--- What additives do any of you use in your fuel or oil?
Again, seasoned rotary veterans responses only, please

I rotate among the major brand FI cleaners.
Berryman is one of them. MMO/Redline/Lucas/Amsoil/techron.....are also in my FI cleaner rotation. The side benefit is that some of the above will also provide mild engine lubrication and decarboning. Because of this, I tend to add a little MMO or Lucas in every tank of my Rx7s.
I don't believe in adding anything to the oil besides oil. Because it is not possible to remove ALL the oil during an oil change, I would avoid using any major volume of solvents/distillates in the oil. A frequent oil change interval with name brand oil is more important.
Rislone/MMO are pretty close to a 20wt in viscosity.
If the engine is that dirty and needs any type of solvent/distillate/kerosene/flush, then the owner should start practicing more frequent OCIs and switch to a better oil.
