good stuff. It's amazing how much technology goes into our cars. I kinda wish that we Americans got the headlight washers and euro lip spoiler however...
Actually, somewhere (I think in a dark place <g>), I read that the Euro spoiler reduces the CD by about 3%... Not a huge amount, but not insignificant either...
You're right about the type of spoiler that creates downward force to increase traction, but the Euro lip spoiler (and probably to a lesser extent, I bet the standard US spoiler) reduces induced drag. Induced drag is caused by the airflow around the back of the car - the spoiler helps the airflow "more gently" part company with the contour (or lack of such) of the car....

the 'dark place' is quite knowledgable...even Yoda hangs out there. That's why I borrowed the information from them and put it on my site. I've been getting hits from every Mazda forum imagineable because of that page.
I've heard that about the fix-a-flat type of sealants before....I'm not sure about it being 100% valid though.

Ahh... thanks for the correction. learn something new everyday
Is this true? If so, is there another tire sealant one can buy to avoid this problem?
can't speak as an expert, but I have a buddy who just blew a tire on his 2004. He followed the directions; used the sealant, immediately got up to recommended speed and all of that to get the sealant swishing around. And to his great surprise (cause he didn't belive it possible) the tire never needed replacing. Granted, this is second hand knowlege, but he always firmly believed that if he blew a tire, he'd have to replace it and was pleasantly surprised that all is good................
As a side note to this post. Its been driving me crazy to know what that "whump" was whenever I started the car. Sounded like I had a bag of groceries in the trunk moving around. Now I know it the abs testing itself. I get a kick out of these kind of posts..............................
