The year of my car is 2004 I got it with 41k miles on it and since i had it I only put on 7k miles. It was making a chriping noise for a while when i stayed steady on the gas. I found a few threads on hear that people where saying it is happening to them. So I was out and about the other day and I stopped at a red light. My car began to shake violently like it wanted to stall, then sure enough it did. I turn the car ignition to the off position and tried starting it again. No dice =[ I tried one more time and it started and I took it straight to the mazda dealer. After waiting for about n hour n a half they told me that I need a new engine and that im still under warrenty. It's a shame but im glad it happened now b4 my warrenty runs out.

48k miles, right on schedule!
Glad your dealer didn't hassle you for oil change receipts or the first you havve to pay us to install new coils, plugs, wires, etc scam.
BTW, you should probably get new coils, plugs, wires, etc, but you can install them yourself after you get the new engine.

I believe their going to gove me new plugs ang wires, the mechanic asked me if my car started when i first got it I said yes while he was shaking his head no he asked me again did you car start when you first got it and i said no, and then he asked me if it had power i said no, and he said okay were going to replace your plugs and wires well put it down as no power and no start on the report. The mechanic is a really cool guy with over 33 yrs in rotary experience.
