Nice interior color combo. Why an auto though?

I have a commute that is 45 minutes on a good day and 90 on a bad one. At least half of which is through stop and go traffic. I didn't want to spend all my time shifting, pushing the clutch and hatin life.

The AT in this car has manual shift option that will allow me to play and that combined with the DSC lets this car go as hard as I want to.

Interior is pretty unique isn't it? I like it though.

Is that the "Dune Beige" interior color? The US website has that available for the gray car but only black for silver. Is your car gray instead of silver?

Oh, congrats & welcome!

I stand corrected. I really didn't pay attention to the name of the color, I just described it. Pulled the window sticker it is

2009 RX-8 Grand Touring
Diamond Gray Metallic
Dune Beige

Guess I better edit my post

40th anniversary, nice! Love the interior.
Not a fan of the AT, but if you're ok with the reduced power (especially with that commute), you should still be able to have a good time.

Whoops. I was only looking at the badge on the side, didn't look close enough. Thought it was the 40th anniversary, didn't look at the headlights or notice the fender vents were gone.

Even better, an '09! Congrats.

Nice car. Yeah, I'm still not sure on an 09 vs an 08. I miss the fender vents and the front bumber isn't my favorite. It will probably grow on me.

Husky - Not sure what your issue is with power. I was cruisin home today (or at least it THOUGHT I was cruisin) when I looked down as I prepared to exit the fwy - WTF, Over - took my foot off the gas to exit and I was doin 80+, hmmmm......gotta remember to watch the speedo, not feel the car till I get used to it.

BTW, that manual shift AT is pretty slick.

Dang this car is fast and can take a turn like nothing else.
