hey hey, been lurking around here for a few months doing research while i looked for a clean RX8. ive been tuning vdubs and audis for a few years so not new to the tuner game, just to the "dark side" lol.....
so i pulled the trigger last night on a super clean, low mileage RX8. dealer maintained, all records, etc. velocity red with the red/black leather interior which initially was my last choice in colors but is really really growing on me.
pics up later but yea, just stock for now.... first order of business is to get rid of that wheel gap

Congrats! Might I suggest saving yourself some time down the road by just getting coilovers now. Dont get lowering springs, because in a few months you're going to want to get nicer wheels. Then your car will look even more like a 4x4. Save yourself the headaches down the road and just get coilovers to begin with.

Yea, i figured i would probably go with the PSS-9's or KW's. I was reading about the Tein Basics and the Stance coilovers but not really too sure about the quality.
Did i mention i love driving this car? I find reasons to go drive and their is nothing that is sweeter than a clear onramp at WOT with that 1.3 screaming thru the gears lol

A lot of people like the more basic coilovers. Really what you're getting with the higher end is more adjustability. If you're not racing you'll be fine. And when I say racing I mean running 5 hard laps, tuning, running 5 more, tuning some more....ect.
