Read this before you even consider purchasing "ram air" for any vehicle: http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_9912_ram/index.html

Seriously.

Think about how much frontal area on those bikes are directly exposed to the pressure wave in front of the car. Think about how big those intakes are. Think about how fast the bikes have to get before there is even a chance of a benefit. Think about how many manufacturers STILL GET IT WRONG.

Now, think about how you are going to get the pressure wave in front of the RX-8 at street legal speeds to actually assist with intake air flow.

Stay stock. It's already VERY VERY good. At best you can get maybe 1 or 2 hp from the AEM or Mazdaspeed intake, everything else is just no net gain or actually a loss. I guarantee you that every single "ram air" intake kit for our car will make you LOSE power.

The claims you see from the seller / vendor / shop? Yeah, they are LYING.

Ok, maybe that is 'slander'. How about "willfully misrepresenting the truth so as to sell their product to unwitting and gullible buyers."

Use google to search the site.
That is the best advice I can give you to help you find your "helpful information"

Do your search like this, type the following in the google search:

You are going to have to get quite a bit more descriptive about what is going on in order to diagnose a problem you may have. This could be anything from coils, plugs, plug wires, e-shaft sensor, fuel trims, cat failing, O2 sensor failing, transmission fluid sludged, compression loss, SSV carboned up, MAF dirty, air filter clogged, fuel filter clogged...

You get the idea. It even might be completely normal, and you are used to more powerful cars so it's just a comparative sensation.

And will will respect you far more for a clean, well maintained stock 8 than we will for any mod you can do. I'm completely serious.
