New RX-8 Owner, need advice with Services etc

Hey guys,

I just bought a new to me RX-8. I'll be posting pictures up when I'm done revamping it (getting some oem stuff and doing a custom sound enclosure)

Anyways, I'm getting the car fully detailed tomorrow and today I got a glass chip repaired and it dawned on me that they might not know about the car having to be on for a while so that the car doesn't flood.

Any advice on exactly what I should tell the detailer (and subsequent servicers) if he wants to move the car?

Thanks in advance

Let the car warm up until the needle is just below halfway and then it will be safe to shut down.

A properly serviced car in good conditions and with the latest flash won't flood.
Since you don't know its conditions just tell him to wait 'till it's warm and rev it just before shutting it down.

Starting\flooding issues may be related to: pcm flash (less likely nowadays), spark plugs and ignition system in general, weak starter and\or battery etc.
A search on said items will open a new world to you

Just remember that this car burns oil. It is designed to, and you should periodically check your oil level

Sometimes, when i just want to move the rx8 on the driveway, i just drive the car in the neighborhood to have the car warmed up faster, rather than leaving it on until it warms up.

Exactly what I do. Better for the car, and much better for the soul.
