So my gf and I just purchased a 2009 RX8 R3. What an awesome car! Im completely new to rotaries, but not Mazda's. I also own an 08 Mazdaspeed3. We found the rx8, just randomly driving around. It caught her eye and we took it for a test drive and it was love at first drive! I still am blown away at how fun this thing is to drive!! Anyhow, I look forward to learning as much as possible on these forums and hope to be a contributing member! Will post pics up shortly!

I dont forsee any way for us to dislike this car! I almost have to fight my gf just to let me drive it haha!!
I really love my mazdaspeed and that thing moves, but this rx8 is on a whole different level in terms of handling and just that pure raw road feel! I love it!
There are plenty of ways for you to dislike RX-8s. It's an emotional relationship, just like a GF/wife, and when it burns you, it hurts. Bad. Many many prior owners hate it with a passion about equal to their passion in loving it while they owned it.
Being that you have a series 2 (2009 and higher), many of the common issues were resolved, but in the end, it's still a rotary and with it come things that you simply MUST be aware of.

Love the MS3. I actually looked at it as a candidate when I got the R3. Velocity Red Mica, the fastest color!
