of the new engine club. I took the car in today for a CEL and told them it seemed like the power was not all there lately. I figured it was the CAT, since that hasn't been replaced yet, so they looked at that, said it was perfectly fine. They have already replaced the APV motor once because of excessive carbon buildup, so I thought maybe it was that again...nope. Then they tried the compression test on the engine...FAIL. So...new engine coming. I have a 2004 Winning Blue with 44,000 miles on it. Luckily it is still under warranty. Coincidentally, I have been thinking about replacing my '04 with a leftover '06. I found a whitewater pearl with the same options as mine that I have been considering, and that was before I found out about needing a new engine. I think I have to get rid of my '04 before the warranty expires. Everything that has gone wrong so far would have cost a fortune to repair. That's why I want an '06 instead of an '07. The '06s still have the 50,000 mile warranty, '07s have 36,000.
