Question New to the mazda family.

Hey all. First off by saying such a really cool site. My name is joel and i just picked up a 06 mazda rx8. First time owning a newer car or even a rotary. I googled rx8 and a few discussion boards popped up and apperently there are some hidden risks. Just wondering if anyone can reinterate on that and if so post some precautions. Some dos and donts. Thanks alot.

Don't shut it off cold or you'll flood it and probably need towed. (do a search and read more about that)
Check the oil every other fill up because the rotary consumes oil by design.
Welcome!

Welcome to the club! Hang out at the forum and read as much as you can. You will learn tones of things about the rotaries and the addiction will grow
