The car I have is an 04 and the dealer warranty just ran out but the engine warranty is still in effect. I was wondering if I took off the engine cover would it effect my warranty on the engine cause I would like to do some work to the engine and well it would be nice to show it off.

 

of course you can take it off

 

Taking the cover off shouldn't void a warrenty, but the work you want to do to the engine might.

 

I question your ability to "do work on the engine" after needing to ask this question

Yes you can take it off, you can even paint it if you want
