Hello everyone,

First let me introduce myself. My name is Chris and i am from the UK .

I just found this fine site while searching on google, I found it about a month ago while i was conducting some research in the the rx-8 and found lots of very helpful posts from members on here addressing the 'fear' stories of the rex.

Anyway I decided to go ahead and buy one after lots of research. I picked her up yesterday afternoon I bought a 03 in titanium silver with 42,000 on the clock.

The car is in very good condition inside and out and more important mechanically. I saved up for this car for a few years and at the price i could not say no.

I am very impressed with it so far, compared to my Vauxhall Corsa its a whole new world !.

A quick question would be is there anything else i should be aware of ? considering the millage I am buying it at ... its had a full dealership history and a full service before i collected it including new oil and filters etc. Is there any common problems with the 03 plates ?

Welcome!

You are going to want to read all the Stickies to begin with, they will have almost all the information you will need regarding issues. Then just read the threads in general - It seems like owners will suffer from a particular problem all at the same time (There will be groups of threads on misfires, flooding, etc.).

I am pretty sure there is a UK forum as well, but welcome here! Just do lots of searching and lots of reading

An 03 with 42k miles is a pretty low mileage and a lucky find. Anyway, hello new member, and have fun with it. Good luck.
