New 8's more fuel efficient?

So what do you guys think? A more fuel-efficient rx8 is coming? Or mazda will stop making them due to stricter requirements

its corporate average fuel economy. with bringing the 2 and soon a couple of diesels combined with at least 1 hybrid and the sky engines mazda will be able to easily meet these new targets AND have a rotary in the stable.

I suppose if they used an electric motor to get going in the low end it could improve fuel efficiency alot. After all, the rx8 isn't all that fast in the low end anyway, so leaving that task up to an eletric motor would help out with gas and the driver would barely feel the difference.
