Nebie--Thank you
Just wanted to quickly post and say thank you to the forum members. I bought a 2005 velocity red RX-8 MT in March. This is my first post but I've been reading (and searching) posts on here since before I bought the RX-8.
This is my first "fun" car and the first car I have ever worked on myself. Fun car. I really enjoy driving it. I have made only relatively minor mods so far. The information in this forum has been great. The DIY section has been excellent. Mods so far are:
* Added PIE adapter, XM Radio and connector for MP3
* Installed XM radio in ash tray location
* Added hard-wired Passport 9500i
* Upgraded the frount bumper (primarily due to unfortunate run-in with a tire tread on the highway)
* Installed side aero flares
* Replaced original tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires
I also have a 2003 Harley V-Rod. The V-Rod forums use the same basic forum setup which significantly eased the transition to the RX8Club.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the info you have posted on this forum. I have found it very helpful. I'm looking forward to continueing to mod the car and get it out on the track sometime, which will also be a first.

[MandatoryNewbieFirstPostSpellingErrorWisecrack:]What a freaking noob![End/MandatoryNewbieFirstPostSpellingErrorWisecrack]
Welcome to the board! It sounds like you have already checked them out, but if you haven't, check the stickies at the top of each forum.
Was it stock when you purchased it?
