I am looking to buy some perfromance parts for my 2006 Rx-8. It only has 1400 miles on it and I'm looking for things that will not void my warranty with Mazda. Can you all give me some recommendations on items that are not overly expensive. and will not kill my warrenty. I am pretty ignorant about these things but I want to add as much horsepower as possible without going overboard. I've heard about soem K & N airfilter and cold air intakes which I have no clue about. Any help would be awesome and any websigfhts I can go to, to purchase those items would be great!!

If $100/hp is not too expensive for you, go with a CAI, catback, midpipe. But chances are that is too much for too little. There's the Greddy turbo, but your warranty will be void. So there's nothing much that fits your criteria, because of the emissions restrictions by Mazda.
If you consider handling to be 'performance', there are sway bars, springs, etc.
