My first scratch today came from.....

So today I wasnt feeling that good so I called in sick. I hardly call in and well finaly said screw it and made the phonecall. I went back to bed and slept till after Noon. After realizing I had no food in the house I got dressed to go out and headed to my car. I noticed my mother left some trash to far away from the barrels and hence the trashmen didnt take it. So I pick up the two blown speakers one at a time as to not hit my car while turning around and walking to my garage. Now both blown speakers are in the garage and I walk back to my car to go get food, that is when I notice it. I live near a bunch of tree's.. hell a forrest so my black Rx-8 only stays clean for a day and a half if that of pollen. Thankfully today the pollen helped me notice IT.. my first SCRATCH!!!

Everyday I make a quick walk around my car to admire it and to look for any new 'nicks and possible scratches since I park in a very bad parkinglot. Yesterday my front drivers side panel was scratch free, today nope.. a nice long maybe a foot and a half scratch was there. A few deep scratches to the metal are aparent the rest are scuffs if that. Sadly the only person I can think who caused this was my MOTHER!!! UGH!!!!...

So far its been a great week, a girl calls it off with me, I'm sick half caused by the girl, and now this..

Anyone have any good tips on buffing the scuff out and maybe some good touch up paint. I have tons of lil 'nicks on my hood which I can bare but these scratches are noticable to me and I atleast wanna control how my baby looks if I can't the rest of my life lol ><!

Some very fine polishing compound will remove the scratches in the clear coat. A good buffer used properly will make the job easier. For those that expose metal, nothing short of paint, touch-up or otherwise, will make them disappear. Check with a detailer to see what they can do for your problem. And be kind to yo mama.

Thanks for the link man.. I've own two cars before this a 85 Dodge Aries Station Wagon and a 93 Chevy W/T 1500 so needless to say they didnt warrant any fine auto detailing and maintaining.. Been raining since I found the scratch so havent had time to fix my baby

dont worry. 250-300 bucks (or less.. depending on what you want) and some reading and discussion... and your cars will shine like the day it left the factory.... or even better. its well worth it. if you have any questions about detailing, IM me at notopistons on AIM, PM me, or email notopistons@aim.com .

Wow that sucks to hear that. I had a few rock chips on the front but no scratch. I used the tuch up paint that mazda sent me. Worked fine. Then I waxed my car the next day.
I did have some scratchs on my old car. I used maguires to 3 or 4 step system worked like a charm. Then I used it on my friends G35 hood. Worked like a charm and I made 50 bucks
