My first project on my RX-8

So im planning on fixing up this thing and giving her a little pep to her step. This will be my first time wrenching on a rotory car.

The plans: new plugs, wires, coils, starter, engine mount, and remove the cat.

Tomorrow im going to put some spark wires and plugs in (both are NGK). maybe delete the cat too.

Ill probably post up some pics of my projects along the way.

In the future i plan to paint the rims, lower it and maybe do a body kit. Im looking back and i guess this thread is kinda pointless for now i guess it will just be the start to my build thread. lol

What year is your 8? You might want to include the oil catch can.

Engine maintenance is a good way to start. You really need to take care of the engine because of all the issues of it.

After all this was done i put it on the ground and the bitch wouldnt start lol. after a few taps on the starter its fine now... so now i have to go get a $200 starter lol. took it for a spin and has alot more power and sounds much better. still spit a little at high RPMs and misfired. so i guess its time for coil packs

If you lived here you'd have to replace it. Fouls the air real nasty. Otherwise, nice changes; good maintenance.
