Well he has made no effort to contact/complain to MNAO because they have no record of his problems and the local reps have no heard anything about it. Sounds like he is just working it out with Joe Myers

I guess if it doesn't work out with JM, then MNAO is going to have to deal with the mess.

we have not conataced anyone yet becuase our insurance company is still trying to figure out the actual cause. the only thing we did was call Jm and let them know what happened and that they will be hearing from us.

I was at JM today getting new Tail lights (condensation).
While I was waiting & watching them install the lights, I overheard a group of Employees talking about this.

They were talking about who worked on the 2 or so engines that were put in. That's kinda wiered to overhear a conversation today at the service department and then find out on the forum, somthing as bad as what transpired here.

omg

This whole topic really scares me.
My Rx8, does the same thing all the time that urs did before it blew up.
When i start to go up and hill i hear a horrible noise, and loose all power, and just like u said when i downshift and try to get some, it doesnt have any to give.
I think I should be worried???? anymore things that it was doing prior to this?? i have taken mine to Mazda several times and they never seem to find anything wrong with it, because it never does it when i get it over to them.. haha...

The kid in Chicago who wrecked into a pole had the car catch fire and burn him and his passenger to death. If you smell gas, then the car is LEAKING FUEL. Period. Do not accept it back from a dealership until there is NO FUEL SMELL coming from the car. Make them find it. At the very least, fuel is an unburned hydrocarbon, hence it's an emissions problem, and covered until 70,000 miles here in the US.

How much do you still owe on your car? It is a lot more than $17k?

One of those reasons it's smart to get gap coverage....

Didn't know the car was already paid off. Smart move by you.

Some people decide to finance a car and don't get gap coverage, meaning they have to pay the difference between the amount insurance will pay and the amount they owe.

Before you go, would you mind cutting the exhaust tips off your 8 and mailing them to me? That would be swell. I'll give you $50.

"Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it."

Sorry, thought you could use a little levity. Just glad you're OK. Cars are just stuff at the end of the day. Stuff doesn't matter. Stuff is fun. Stuff can make us happy, but stuff doesn't matter.

Youngen.... Including the fire and all what was your MPG?

Oh and since you basically saved Rachelle's life, in my culture you basically own and have rights to her body. She should provide all the physical gratification you desire...

$17,000 and a personal concubine? Hey that's not bad!
