You could always go the route of the obvious.

Intake, midpipe, exhaust.

Ignition would help with some HP by providing better spark, and you wouldnt have to swap them out as much as the OEMs.

Cobb Tuning's Access Port will allow you to modify the fueling, timing, and many other things.

Of course you will not net the power gains that you would from going FI.

unless you go FI, no mods are going to get you any kind of gain. they will just change the sound. a lot of wasted money

i am reasearching buying an RX8, and I"ve done the searches..

above post is correct - spending a lot of money on power mods will not net you much gain in power.

suspension mods will help - sway bars, springs, shocks, stuff like that will make the car handle even better, eliminate the body roll, etc.

but to make the car truly FASTER - adding an exhaust or intake isn't going to do a whole lot. having had a former turbo car - THOSE cars make major gains. add an ECU to an EVO or a BMW 335 or other turbo car and you immeidately pick up major hp...

the rx8 is not a car you will get lots of power out of. if you are NOT happy with the car in stock form for power delivery - unless you go fi you probably never will be.

sorry. i'm not saying you can't get power out of it..but you coudl spenda couple grand on an intake, exhaust, flywheel...and the car will be only a little bit faster.

the rx8 is not a speed demon. it's a "fun" great handling car. if you need SPEED you need something else.

Personally, I think the first mod a stock RX8 should have is a good set of lowering springs. If your shocks are getting tired, then upgrade them while you are at it.
