mixing overflowed engine oil and 2 stroke oil for SOHN

I don't have enough knowledge on the chemistry of oil, so reaching out to any members that would know. I am looking to install a modified oil canister that can serve as an oil overflow canister as well as feeding the SOHN adapter that I'm putting on.

Based on the fact that the stock OMP feeds used engine oil, and 2-stroke oil is used with gas as premix, my educated guess would be that it's not a problem. Can anyone confirm this thought process?

If it seems legit, I'll post pictures for a DIY if anyone else is interested.

Do you currently have a oil overflow problem?

I don't have a real knowledge but the 2 should mix fine. There won't be some crazy chemical reaction or anything like that. And worse case scenario (IMHO) is they seperate and you burn one first then the other.

Put a little of each in a water bottle and give it a little shake then watch it a few days and see what happens. I have a seperate sohn tank and catch can, but My catch cn overflows into my sohn tank just in case there is ever a problem.

it's not explicitly a problem that I am aware of, though I don't know how the SOHN might handle dirty 4-stroke oil from a clogging/carbonation perspective.

However, you are designing something complicated to negate the benefits of a mod you installed due to a problem that shouldn't exist and has another solution.

So it doesn't seem like a very good idea to me. Solve the overflow properly, and keep the SOHN for the 2-stroke injection as normal.

I'd keep the catch can separate from the SOHN reservoir. You can always just get a cheapy catch can from eBay for $20~ for oil over flow. Why try to consolidate them into one? Space savings in the engine bay?

I don't have a major overflow problem, I have just noticed a bit of oil in the air intake lately. I try to keep the oil level at the full level.

I'm thinking about doing this just for a clean look, has nothing to do about cost or anything. I have two canisters with the intension of doing both jobs separately. it just made sense to me to put them together.

Oil in the intake is normally from filling without a funnel. In that case it is probably no big deal to combine them at all.

The reason I'm running a catch can is a healthy little turbo, without that if your getting good blow by you should save the money for a rebuild.

My little 3" square catch can fit real nice right next to the washer fluid and fender. I have to remove the washer fluid to get it but I've yet to get any fluid in it at all.
