Mice

Got the car out of storage and found that mice had taken up residency over the winter. They used the trunk as a master bathroom. Turned on the indoor air fan and nut shell/shucks came flying out! Already changed the indoor air filter but does anyone know of any tricks to get rid of urine smell? I tried vinegar/water solution and fabreeze....?

Then, move on to this if the first one doesn't work sufficiently.

Quite possibly through the vent holes in the trunk, plus I'm sure they can find a way in through the vent air since they can slip through some impossibly small cracks.

Definitely check your air intake for the engine as well, as mice and squirrels are known to set up shop in there or store food. I had some squirrels store acorns in my air filter box when my car sat for a couple of months.

Honestly...replace your in cabin filters and then put bounce dryer sheets under your seats...you would be surprised what odors those will get rid of.
