MC-Escher inspired RX-8 pictures!

(I typed up a post and then mashed something stupid on the keyboard and now I have to retype it... )

So I was looking at this cool Flickr set at http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshsom...7594405604955/ and I decided to make my own version of these pictures with images of the RX-8. (View the full size of the rotor one for the best effect).

Check out the ones I have attached, and let me know what you think! If you have a picture that this would work on, post it up and I'll do what I can with it.

The second is too subtle for most to notice what you've done. I framed a fractal from a calendar that looked a lot like the first.

This one is a little more 'out there'; the source image is http://www.dieselstation.com/wallpap...da-RX8-025.jpg which is a very nice picture on its own.

Math guys will recognize this transformation as being very similar to a 3rd degree Newton polynomial (i.e. a newton fractal, as seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton_fractal ).

Cool, but sort of Escher lite since it doesn't really combine opposing perspectives.

I think the plugin can do that (possibly with multiple source images) but I really don't understand all of its options.
Check through the Flickr gallery, there's a few on there that are really mindblowing.
