Mazda Maniac Curiosity/ car performance

well this thread will probably end in a fail, but this thread is pretty much for fun and speculation.. hope no one gets offended. I just find myself geeking out about the rx8 (even though me and my rx8 are having "family problems").

I was sitting up thinking, I wonder what Mazda Maniacs car can run in the 1/4 mile. Going by little info, i believe his car is sitting between 390-hp/311-tq and 422 hp/ 322-tq. we all know thats specukation. I doubt he will ever actually tell (its really none of our business)

With a decent driver, good tires, I dont see why a 12.5-12.8 wouldnt be easily attainable.

But wait... we're talking about MM's car Its probably perfected in every way. So now I'm thinking 12.3.

0-60: 4.4 seconds

what do yall think?? or do yall think im full of horsesh*t.

He does the 1\4 mile in 25 years. He lands off very fast, the only problem happens when he hits 88mph.

Why don't you ask him next time you're in his bushes watching him?

not sure if MM has dragged it before.
I know he does AutoX and frequents the track.

Stock 0-60 was 5.9, right?
My guess is he can do it in under 5.7

Why would you assume that? There is a huge difference between running 12s and running 12s reliably or realistically. I certainly do not think 12s are impossible on the (two-rotor) renesis and I would not doubt the possibility that it has already been achieved.

Sorry. I don't drag. That is way too hard on the driveline and the car isn't set-up for that.
The wheel hop never ends.
Besides, its boring as sh*t.

Wanna guess my lap times at Firebird East, West and Main or Phoenix Intl Raceway on the roval?

+1 for spidey sense fail. Esmeril hit 12's with a built Renesis.

The event featured in that video is going on again this Saturday and it's going to be awesome. There's 3 RX8's that I know of as well as probably another 3 Mazda's from our club that are all doing track events.
