Mazda kills off the RX8

http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...llCars/248910/

A British mag reports Mazda is killing off the RX8 due to inability of current engine to meet new tougher upcoming Euro emission standards. Article goes on to say production has ceased with remaining cars left to sell, and next rotary car will be with new engine under development (I guess they mean the 16x engine, which isn't ready yet)

Sad news if true

Hopefully Mazda can work the buggies out of the 16X for the future.

I thought they're getting rid of the RX8 anyways for the '12 RX9 or RX7 with the 16X.

It makes sense, technology is always advancing. No sense keep the older alive while the new can perform better.
