Lost my marbles!

I know there are a million different "marbles in a blender" sounds, but i just wanted to share in case someone else is experiencing the same thing. I had been having the marbles sound at about 5.5K rpm's for the last few months and had really given up on trying to figure out what it was. Well, the other day i got a service engine light and took it by the dealer for that and a change, the dealer called me and bashed me for not driving my 8 hard enough, he said there was carbon build up and that the intake manifold runner control was stuck open. he cleaned and lubed it. I took it out this weekend to put her through the paces and to apologize for not running her hard enough and lo and behold, no marbles sound at any rpm range, in any gear.
So, moral of the story, when you think you are running youre 8 hard enough, odds are you arent, i will now be beeping daily.

hope this helps someone out.

Thanks zoned for the 'no marbles' heads up, and the bleeping warning. They really should put the bleeping thing in the manual, esp. for new owners. One of, if not the most important daily maintenance ritual, is the bleeping. Now you'll never forget!

I used to have the "Marbles" sound too. Then I found out that the homeless man who lives in my trunk was making marble milkshakes with his blender. After I traded his blender for a bottle of Vodka, the problem sound ceased.
