Was just oggling the Mazda website on Miatas, saw that Competition Yellow is now a color option for MX5s.
Maybe it will take root and spread to other models...

if it did, they would limit it severely as dealers hate taking in yellow cars. I personally LOVE yellow as long as its not a neon yellow and as close to pure yellow as can be.. no orange or green tints please! French's mustard sunshine would be awesome!


Dealers hate yellow colors because they are so polarizing.. You either hate it or love it and they are always hard to sell.

 

My local dealer had 2 of them on the lot. Don't really like it. It isn't a true yellow unless it's under direct sunlight. Low light/overcast days it has a good amount of orange to it. Definitely not close to Lightning Yellow which was more of a pure yellow. Competition Yellow is more of a School Bus yellow.

I don't think that Mazda would put the 8 in yellow again.

Yeah, whats up with grey?? The 40th was such a dissapointment. You would figure for such a milestone car, they would have come up with a unique color.. But noooo.. its Metro Gay for that one.. ..
