Post Looking into buyin an 8, need advice

Just sold my 3000gt and looking into buying an 8. I am new to rotary engines, but have been reading threads on this site for a few weeks now, but can't learn everything from just threads. There are a few things I'd like to know. First off, due to my price range, I'll be stick most likely to 04/05 models. The mileage I am going to max myself at is 50k, only if it's a really good deal. Ideally, 30k range miles, along with manuals only. With this info, should there be anything specific I should look for or ask that will tell me how many problems that specific car may cause me ahead, such as the ecu flashes or recalls performed. Also, at what miles should I expect certain maintenance to have to be done, i.e., coils, plugs and a potential rebuild. Are there any trouble spots on the car for rust like I know some cars have. When I look at the tires, do they wear normally or do they have a camber that makes them wear out the inside of the tread quicker. If I buy from a dealer, should I absolutely request a compression test before buying? If you can think of anything else to look at let me know.
The second part of my questions has to do with living with the 8. I know rotaries have their own way of being treated, try not to rev past 4k before it's warm, don't shut down cold, check oil levels regularly, bring it close to red line once a day to keep carbon out, etc. How much attention does this car require? I assume that all modern cars are made fairly reliable and easily maintainable and it doesn't bother me at all to give me car lots of attention, but I'd like to know what I should expect when it comes to keeping this car in absolute tip top condition. So any actions you should perform to keep the car healthy would be helpful.

Just make sure you buy one with Extended Warranty and you have all the receipts and proof to show proper maintenance on the car has been done prior to your ownership and after. A redline a day and some premix could help keep car healthy.

The easiest way to determine what has or hasnt been done to a particular vehicle, is take it to a mazda dealership and have them do a full inspection before purchasing the vehicle. Itll run you like 50 bucks, and it will tell you what you need to know about the car.
