DEAD RX8. So now im just waiting on some warranty info to know what I will do about my THIRD ENGINE. This will be my final engine. Im getting irritated. This rebuild had about 10,000 miles on it. I will either get Rotary Ressurection or BDC to rebuild my next one. This is what I will do to make this next one last.

1. OMP. I havent had a CEL from the OMP yet. But if it has malfunctioned, it could be the root of my problems. I will make sure its 100% operating. I will have a SOHN adapter fitted.

2. I'm thinking very seriously about Esmeril apex seals. I feel there's not enough data out there to really tell if their claim is a myth or not. I believe they're good seals. But fact and opinion are 2 different things. But it's likely I will buy these.

3. I will not drive my car in very cold weather(below 38 degrees). I will drive my other car instead.

4. Going along with the above, this car basically wont be a daily driver anymore.

5. I will stick with 10w40 or 15w40 oil.



I love the rx8, I dont want to let it go. But we all know the story. I expect this new build to last at least 75,000 miles. If it doesnt, IM DONE!! You guys almost lost me to a 350z or a G35. As of right now I plan to stay in the Renesis camp
