Keyless start is still only on the 06 Grand Touring correct?

Is the "Mazda Avanced Keyless Entry System and Start System" still following the specs here in this .pdf? https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...chmentid=70212

If so what does the trim levels below GT trim levels receive? 05 Switch blade keys?

I'm surprise that the FOB didn't apply to all trim levels of the rotary for 06.

I wish mazda would offer the keyless start on all trim levels and HID's on the base like how the base 350z has HID's standard now.

So there really isn't any differneces in getting an 05/06 RX-8 if it's below GT/Shinka package?

When I called the dealer today to see if it would be ready, apparently something that should have been installed at port wasn't, so now they are trying to figure out how to get that done.

Potentially will still have it at the end of this week, but who knows. I'm really starting to get annoyed with this.

Have you signed the papers yet?? If so it's yours!!
If it's something minor I'm sure they could give you the car and you could just come back later to have the work done. As long as you get it in writing of course.

I've done the "pre" paper work with the deposits and all that when I ordered but I haven't done the final papers. I think it is something in the Navigation that they "forgot" to put in. Apparently this is what that "parts availability" issue was they were telling me about before and why it may take a little longer. There is something that goes with the Navigation (I think they said with the voice command ) that is a little slow getting wherever so apparently if you are getting a car with Navigation in it, it may take longer than usual because of some particular part. My car wasn't supposed to have been shipped down to the dealer yet because it wasn't ready but it was, so "somebody" is supposed to be coming to fix the problem. What a pain!!!

As long as I get it before I start my new job, it's fine. Otherwise I am not too happy and have to get my mom to play chauffer.
