The new breed of 8 owners are more in to big wings and loud exhausts. Haven't you seen all the new body kits people are hacking up? and leaving unpainted for that custom ricer look.

Over 5 bucks here.

Ever notice driving around town lately all the streets are filled with cars? Especially on the weekends.

No money after you pay for work gas.

I guess I'm lucky, cause premium is hovering around 4.15/gal here in san antonio... but then again, I'm an E-4 and live a 30 mile round trip from work, and usually go home after PT (= 2 round trips every day... or 60 miles) and its killing me money wise...

good news is I can start riding my Ninja 250 so I'm working up the skill and confidence to ride to work in the san antonio traffic this weekend.

What more do you want? Getting the AccessPort is HUGE. Cobb doesn't support very many cars, and having one of the nicest reflashers around is a godsend. Using the factory ECU to control the RX-8 trumps any aftermarket system.

I've never seen that price tag since May. at least not in new york. The lowest I've seen thus far is 4.30, and thats just regular.

Premium is about 4.7-4.99, in Jersey is about 3.99-4.21 for Regular, and 4.2-4.7 for Premium.

Coming from a performance back-round and DSM sites and LS1/LS2 etc sites I must admit this is one of the more anemic groups on the net, but at least our cars are purdy...

They'll never be fast, and all the Turbo kits are way pricey so no one will ever really get them, then the people who do are scared to push them so at the end of the day I think this is about where the RX8s will remain as far as power goes until some miraculous price drop in either turbo kits or motor rebuilds.. hahaha

As far as I have seen every single kit people have put up FS is STILL FS, same goes for nitrous kits and the nitrous kits are at least reasonably priced. but then again who wants to ad nitrous just so you can beat an S2K or a 350Z, still slow but now risking your engine.

Another thing I noticed is with all the companies coming out with new products I have yet to see decent dynos or even more importantly some PROOF of value which means, TRACK TIMES. Drag, Auto X, Road course....

LETS SEE SOME NUMBERS.. REAL NUMBERS...

Mod money -> gas money, gradually. Mods with efficiency improvements can still be justified by the typical owner.
