Its Rationalization time!! How many of you have two sports cars?
The way its looking, Im probably going to keep my Z for a while and the RX-8.. Should be interesting going back and forth between the two.. How many of you have two sports cars? What else do you have?
Honestly, I have gone between the two, first the Z then the RX-8 and the two drive completely different.. I was thinking I would feel really slow in the RX8 but no.. It felt like a different car altogether..

Would having an RX8 and a 1976 Vette with no engine count? (no seats, 3 flat tires, no back glass, etc)
I can give you impressions of driving the 76, but it would consist of me sitting on a tool box behind the wheel while making engine and squeeling tire noises with my mouth.

You have both a Z and an 8? Wow. Hats off to you if you have full coverage on both vehicles.
I love the 8, and couldn't imagine getting rid of it. But you could probably get close to $40k for both vehicles. That gets you into new corvette range, or one hell of a down payment on a new M3.
That's the route I would go.

If you're financing, sell one. Waste of money to have both if you don't own either outright.

I guess I am in sad shape. I have more cars not running/torn apart than I have running.
The good news is you don't have to add the "not running" cars to your insurance.
The RX8 starts, has kinda sorta AC, and everything currently works on it. That's RARE with the rest of the cars.
Heck, the AC resistor switch in the wife's Tahoe just crispie-crittered two days before we take it on a trip to west Texas. Guess what I got to replace today! I probably lost 3lbs of water weight changing it.

I forgot to include the rationalization part. My 4- and 6-ear-old boys love the Miata as much as I do: top down, special time wit Daddy without the little/big brother tagging along, etc. I've always said that since I have two kids, I ned two sports cars for the inheritane thing to work out right. But with $4/gal gas prices, the Miata's 40 mpg highway is also sunding like a pretty good justification for keeping the Miata.

Are you talking about a 350Z or a Z06?
I've had my 03 Z06 for 3.5 years now. I bought the RX8 new back in August. I owe 5k on the vette and 9k on the RX8. I hate paying interest so I've been doubling and tripling payments.
And yes, the RX8 feels like a dog in comparison but definitely holds its own around the corners.
