im not driving fast anymore....hopefully

ever since I had the re flash done my gas has been great...And from an ealier post and stories in this forum I learned that your ecu adjusts itself to how you drive... So if you drive fast your ecu will adjust itself to use more gas...Ive been easy on the pedal lately and im getting better milage...

ps.whats a good fuel management system to use for the car

gas in cal is $3.60+.. I commute for work. It used to be a $15 round trip for work. Now $15 is a round trip and some left over. I keep it steady and around 70-75 freeway and I dont floor it on green lights in the city. I do miss driving fast. Its just expensive.

Do your 8 a favor - buy stock in the oil companies. Then you will WANT to buy more gas. Your 8 will be happy, and you offset the gas price w/oil dividends. Win-Win!

I set out to keep it under 3750 each tank to see if I can get 500km/320mi on a tank, but damn it, I keep on reving it and hearing the beep. I can't stop.

Keeping it under 4000rpm all the time is like having a great date with a hot girl who loves sex and lets you know it and all you do is shake hands and say goodnight.

lol.
btw.. just wanna know what that beep is actually for?

First time i heard it..... i was like.. cooool! Theres no shift light.. but instead we've got a shift beep! lol.... tho after 1st gear im breaking the law for residential.. and after 2nd gear, the speed limit on the motor way has been surpassed. lol.. if only there were no speed limit.. i'd beep every gear!

So yeah. What does the beep tell you? That you've reached Max HP and shift now?

........wow
It means you are almost at the red line and need to shift or will hit the fuel cut off. And the fuel cut off is there so that people who don't know that engines can only rev so high don't break them.

the beep means "congratulation you have passed the 9k rpm point, please continue to 10K, once you get to 11k you get a double beep. that means you have beaten the game

To all you people that post "I keep it under 3xxx rpm" (3xxx could be 4xxx just the same): you do know of a potential problem called "carbon build-up", right ? It even says so in the manual (well, sort of)....

So, don't start crying when you see the compression going down like a 10-dollar hooker

What the hell would these people know about the decending tendencies of $10 hookers? If they can't afford gas, they can't afford pipe cleaning!
