VA idle issues

ok I know im gonna get the whole you need to search more here for answers, but I have searched and cannot find a solution to this issue. Anyway I recently had the ssv valve replaced and the throttle body cleaned due to a check engine light coming on. Since I got car back about every third time I come to a stop the idle drops to about 750 and car shakes. Sometimes it goes back and forth from 750 to 1000. it doesn't do this if the car is in neutral. Mazda dealer said that I need to drive it and it will go away. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of what I can do to fix this. Btw it is a 2004 a/t with 82000

While the thread I link below doesn't start out talking about your issue right away, it's very much the same after a few posts down and he gets some stuff squared away. Might want to follow along on that thread and see if anything applies.

It usually does a little time after what you had done for the fuel trims to settle, but shouldn't be put a couple of times(stops).

Hmm, try cleaning the MAF (mass air flow) sensor.
And maybe try the 20 brake stop procedure.

My idle is stabilize when my a/c is off...but with the hot and humid weather here in Vegas...hell no, i'd rather have it on than getting hot inside the car. I only drive short distances tho, so its fine having the a/c on.
