i finally bought an 8. now i have a couple questions

so I bought my 8 last week and I love it so far. Its an 05 ti-grey touring, 6 spd. At 32k miles. Now that I've driven it over 1k miles, done an oil change and air filter and had the ecu flashed, I've noticed a few things that I worry about. The trans whines loudly when cruising at around 4k rpm and above in every gear except 6. I thought it was alternator rfi through my speakers at first, but its def coming out of the trans. Sounds almost like straight cut gears. Another thing, the diff clunks like a clutch type when starting out in first and turning. Another thing that bothers me is my clutch pedal audibly clicks sometimes when depressed. Lastly, at idle the motor seems to stumble some every 10 secs or so and drop maybe 100 rpm, normally sitting right at 800. Which makes my shifter vibrate around. If these are normal set me straight... thanks

Id change transmission oil first see the condition of the old oil and if any metal bits stuck on the draining bolt see if any internal damage.
inspect clutch pedal see if is broken at the base, its a known problem. if not could be dry springs.
the rough idle problem at 32k, you might need to change plugs and possibility coils.
as for shifter vibration, mine vibrates all the time, so its normal.

The clunk sound is normal when going into first from a stand still.

The idle is most definitely your ignition. Changing it yourself is very easy and there are numerous DIY's that will easily get you to do it right. The coils and plugs usually should be changed somewhere around every 30k miles or so. I suggest BHR ignition kit for the reliability and simplicity for a DIY.

Inspect your clutch pedal as it might be failing. The 8's r prone to this stupid problem. I myself may have to do this as i feel a slight "clicking" when depressing the pedal sometimes.

The tranny whining is something you might wanna get checked out. Follow jason's instructions and if you find anything wrong then bring it in.

Thanks for the quick reply. The car is still under powertrain warranty till november. So I might just take it in and have them do a flush and instection. I'm not sure if the coils and plugs are covered by that but I'll find out. I'm a tech at nissan and could bring the car in anytime, but why pay for something I don't have to?

coils and plugs are not under warranty as they are wear parts.
if youre a tech, you can do those yourself easily, much cheaper than the dealer.
