how many miles can i expect to get from my rx8?
hey all, my 2004 mazda rx-8 has about 65K miles. i still love my car. it def has had it's share of issues, but i've completely paid it off (first time i've ever done that!) so i'm curious - how long can i expect my rx-8 to last? will it last past 100K miles if i take care of it? the biggest reason why I ask if because as i just mentioned, it needs some engine work and other random things, so i probably need to spend about 3-5K to make it back to tip top shape. but since it's already paid off i'm certainly willing to spend the money, but ONLY if i'm confident i can drive this car for another couple years!
or should i put my 3-5K into a downpayment into a new car since i don't want to keep putting money into fixing my rx-8 every year from here on....

There really is no answer to your question as no one on here could tell you how long your car will last. Read up and learn more about your engine, there is a lot of information on this website! If you don't feel comfortable with the idea that your car might not last long, then maybe this isn't the right car for you.

DAMN IT!!! I can't stop laughing. I saw the thread name and though I should get some popcorn, and then I look at the first reply
If it's assurances you want, you probably won't get any. Read the stickies more than once. Probably all of you questions have been asked and answered in this forum at some point in time. The Search function will become your best friend.
Wheather you can drive the car for 2 more years or not is completely up to you.
Good luck with the car
