no need to post your mileage and transmission because there’s already another thread about it and most important mods discussion are not allowed just post the date you join this club and the date of purchase, it'll be nice if you can post the first pic since you bought it and the current update pic of it, thanks

I'm a month early joining this thread, but I see a few others have jumped the gun by more.
Brought Zoomy home in July 2006. Bought new. Daily driver. Most enjoyable car I've ever had. Joined this forum the next month.
I'm glad I did not discover rx8club until after I was an owner. I might have been scared off by the doomsayers. That said, I have never hung out in any car club the way I have here. I've dipped into a few when looking for specific info, but none ever had as cool a group of members and as good conversation.

Purchased May '04 as something of a birthday present.
I just recently faced the choice of getting a new car... or putting a lot of money into my 8 to make it like "new" again (all the wearables were due). And I realized I'd rather have a "new" 2004 RX-8 than anything else currently available
Most of us oldies actually have better cars now than when we bought them. Think about it, nothing much original is left lol, mostly being replaced with revised and better parts: Upgraded starter, battery, plugs, SSV, sunroof parts, tail lights, engine programming, motor mounts, A/C controls, clutch pedal, ball joint (I think?)... and a new engine

nice to get know some of old members here although are not quite active in this forum but still keep their great 8 in good shape i'm sure when the time changes, people will find the Rx8 is rare to get as what happen to the Rx7 today..
it might not as the legendary Rx7, but the Rx8 still the best rotary survival ever build with its uniqe look till now
