How do I replace a factory wheel?

My right rear wheel seems to be bent or something and I need a new wheel, just one. Obviously, getting from Mazda would probably be too expensive. Do you think one could get a used one from a salvage yard or someone on this list? Would it match my other 09 wheels?

what do you mean by "bent or something" ... is it bent or no? Have you checked a rim shop to see if it is repairable? No sense in spending money for a new wheel when that can be refurbished for a much easier price

regardless, i saw a bunch of S2 wheels on ebay going for 100 some-odd

go to the 'for sale' forum towards the bottom of the website site and create a new thread titled

I had gone to put on new tires at a tire shop and the guy pointed out that there was a problem with the wheel/rim . He put it on a balance machine and showed how the tire was wobbly, suggested the tire would wear quickly unless I replace the wheel. He was not selling me a wheel, suggested I call Mazda dealer for a factory wheel or a salvage yard.

Go to a repair rim shop and get it fixed. Its not a big deal. Buying one rim might cost you a bit more from mazda than getting it repaired. I was quoted roughly 100 bucks to repair one rim. Getting a new rim from mazda will probably be more. getting a used rim will be about the same price but it will be harder to get cause not many people sell just ONE rim. So i would personally just get it fixed at a rim repair shop.

The s2 rims are super expensive from Mazda, so getting one new should be off the table. I just called up Mazda for you, based on my vin#(2009 sport model) a stock rim is $650 each from the dealership, and must be special ordered.

Dealerships in general are just ridiculous. I recently had to replace coils and wires on another car(02 mercury cougar) and the dealer wanted $155 for the coil pack(couldn't complain, motorcraft and good quality) and $175 for just the wires!

Back on topic for the rx8 though, these were only the sport wheels. I a pretty sure the r3 wheels are 19" instead of 18" and are also a slightly different color. I don't even want to know the price for those.
