you need the ballister's for the bulbs, just cutting and rewiring a halogen system to hold a high power xenom light a new bulb holder into the current electical system will f*ck sh*t up. check ebay, there's usually a good deal for 2 headlight bulbs, and all the other electrical systems you'll need.

I have that set up. My 8 is base model so it came with the halogen lights. I bought the 6500K HID conversion kit from xenondepot.com to replace the H7s. It came with: 2 x 6500k Clear HID/Xenon Bulbs, 2 x Ballasts, complete Wiring Harness, and the Instruction Manual. That's all you really need. Unless you're good with installing components into your car, I don't recommend you trying this yourself. I took my car to a friend's friend who is a mechanic. The bulbs i bought didn't connect right so the mechanic had to tap into the existing wiring harness. After that, it just took a little bit of tweaking to get the headlights to aim out right and presto!
