lawl thanks for the advice. i wasnt planning on doing anything with carbon fiber. was thinking about getting a new front bumber tho. its got a crack on the passenger side of the bumper and while i put some bondo on it, im not satisfied. Any ideas?
DO NOT buy any bumper if it isn't costing you at least 600 bucks for just the bumper. more than likely it will be worse off than your little crack and look horrible. there are a few times that you get lucky, but i would just stay away from aftermarket bumpers unless you want to spend big bucks. I think you should probably by the air dam in primer color off of ebay for 200 dollars shipped, and have a local body shop paint and install that as well as fix and repaint the front bumper. I almost promise you will thank me for telling you this if you do what i said.
you're new here, the air dam is something you do not have on your car and may not know what it is, rather than you asking, i will just tell you. it is the front lip/chin spoiler.
you could also search through the for sale ads for an OEM bumper, you will ALWAYS know that those will fit perfectly. you will probably be able to pick one up for cheap, but shipping will be rough, as well as you will probably still need to have it painted if it does not match. but you should invest in the air dam, it does wonders for the look of the car.
maybe a picture of the damage. if the crack is low enough on the bumper, the air dam might cover it entirely and thus you wouldn't need to even get a new bumper.
if it has reached the fog light, it has gone too far for the air dam to cover it. if it is from the fog light down all the way through, it may not be repairable while still looking near perfect.
