I'm new to the world of rotaries, but apparently my dad had 2 7's back in the day (an '86 and an '87).. Anyway, I bought her this past weekend. I had no intentions of getting an rx8, or even a japanese car. I wanted a german car of some kind, but after test driving the 8, I fell in love.
And, of course, it's a 6spd (wouldn't have it any other way).

And my dad had them back in the early 90's (I was about 6 or 7), he was going to get a 3rd gen 7 as well when they came out in '93, but after test driving one, knew he was going to get in A LOT of trouble with it. So decided against it.
Thanks!! It's an '05, not really sure of anything else at the moment because I was never a fan of the rx8 until I bought mine, so I never really did any research on them, heh.
I'm in Rockville a lot visiting the boyfriend, so I'm around that way here and there (:
Clear corners(the yellow running lights on the front of the car, imagine them white) are also great. Get your BF to put them on see the DIY article here. Like this http://www.rx8club.com/attachment.ph...chmentid=81167
Looks very nice . I've had mine for a couple of month and love it. Theres a lot of good info in here so read on . You'll also be able to add different things to your car to give it the look you want.
I have a white 8, and honestly I think clear corners look a little silly on it. I think the yellow is a good contrast. I say spend your money on mods that will make a real difference- like oil cooler screens.. Oh, and yeah tint your windows- tint's amazing on a white 8.
