Has anyone painted their front brake ducts/vents?
I have a 2004 Rx-8 and I was thinking about taking out and painting the brake ducts/vents (I don't know which is proper) that are behind the front wheels. I would paint them red using a paint that is capable of withstanding high temperatures.
I was just wondering if anyone had done this before... I have red-lined wheels (pics included) and I was looking to add some more red trim on the exterior in order to make the wheels seem less out of place.
If you have painted/colored these brake ducts in any way please post a picture! And let me know what you guys think of the idea. Try not to rage too hard at me... this is just an idea at this point.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
It's your car, not ours. If you want our opinions, then some will give good opinions, and some will give bad opinions, and some will just flame you...lol
Anyway, if you really want to do it, then do it...i'll do the same, if i want to do it, i will do it, i don't need other people's opinion anyway...good luck whatever you decide to do. Post pics if you do...

As rickeo stated, there are better ways.
On Monday, I ordered the extreme black ones on that link rickeo posted.
Scheduled Delivery: Monday, 04/08/2013, By End of Day
I plan to remove the screens and paint the insides gold, just like the rotors
The insides - not of the vents but of the car, ie when there are no screens, then one can see inside.
With the screen on, one cannot see the insides.
Will post pics when finished. I think it gives the car a more aggressive look.
I have never been a fan of black wheels. Do not provide any "vista" ie look.
Makes the car look too dark so no tiene vista.
There is a car (family member) in corpus that has those fx vents. Looks aggressive.
They come in two black colors:
One is semi glossy black without screens for 80 bucks.
The other is extreme black, glossy but with screens. $120
So I might have those screens up for sale. All depends how things turn out, ie how it looks without screens.
A vented hood might go with it.
