Future Mazda Sports Cars?

I read awhile back that there are no more plans to bring a future Rx7-9 model.

Is this still the latest news? I am looking at alternate vehicles similar to the Subaru BRZ

Let them improve the rotary engine first, then we'll see.

Agreed. Honestly, if they can make a great car with a piston driven engine I'd be happy. I want a car I can throw around turns that doesn't beg for more power because it has it.

yea id like to see a new production 8 that still has a rotary. something upgradable that can keep up with 370z's and all the new cars coming down the line. we have one of the best looking and handling cars i just wish we had enless power !! the rumor of the rx9 was a good idea. low compression and turbo. id bring my car to mazda and say "i want ThAT, in Here" lol

Lol right. I wouldn't mind better fuel economy than the rx-8. Is that possible with rotary engines?

Well for the time being a bigger gas tank wouldn't hurt! As far as improvements go anything is possible!
