Thumbs up Fuel Pump mod for better efficiency?

Anyone read this article or tried this?

http://blackhaloracing.com/technical/fuel-pump-tech/

The mod is toward the bottom of the page, and I'm especially interested if this might work on an 04, and if it would up your gas mileage?

As a fellow 04 rx8 driver ... let me offer this advice .. just get it.

1. I don't stall out when I'm below 1/4 tank
2. no more spuddering when above 7k
3. car starts faster
4. happiness gained from piece of mind I won't get stuck

Now if only bhr had replacement filter sock thingees!

Dear Mazda,

You fuel pump sucked!

- me.

PS Jedi -- what cha think about coming up with a fuel filter sock thing replacement?

About $100, compared to about $180 (going from memory) for the Mazda assembly.
I was stalling out in hard left turns at the track. I haven't tracked the car in a long time so that didn't bother me. On long trips the car started stalling when the tank got low (pump over heating). That was a problem. It takes about 1-2 hours to remove, mod the assembly and reinstall.
