Friday Mazda Musings

Anyone know if the 12A engine is still being built for use in anything?? I know you can still get rotor housings etc.. Is MAZDA using the engine for anything??

Also where do most people get their 93 octane gas?? I got my Shinka 2 days ago and so far have seen lots and lots of stations with 91 octane, but haven't found 93.

Everyone have a safe hauling *** weekend!!!

Congrats on the car. Just got my Shinka a few days ago also. I can't get 93 here either, I'm sure 91 will be ok.
What color ?

I don't think the 12A is being used anymore. I also think the RX8 is the only car, currently in production, to use a rotary engine. It wouldn't make sense (and cents) to make 2 different types of rotary engines at the same time. Yes, I know they did at one time.

El Paso Texas....All I can find is 91. Remember the Amaco 100 ?

Also, the reason I mention the 12A is it seems crazy to have an engine once used in thousands of cars successfully put on the back burner. Mazda needs a super light 12A "pocket Rocket" and an RX9 with a 13B
