Are outside side mirrors covered under b2b warranty?
So my 8 went into the dealership for some warranty work. One issue was a rattling plastic top on the outside driver's side mirror.
The service rep said Mazda declined to cover it and then the Mazda district manager also confirmed that it wouldn't be covered. They claimed it was like the clutch and brakes - wear and tear items. I know those items are only covered for 12/12K.
To me this sounds like BS - going on Mazda's logic, you could claim anything in the car was wear and tear and decline to fix it.
Am I off base?

^ Well I thought my mirror should be covered, but I'm stuck in a hard place. When I first took my car into the dealer to fix a few things I had to wait for some parts. In the meantime, my b2b warranty ran out. So I'm not going to be able to take it to another dealer to get fixed since they'll just cite my expired warranty.
I think the service rep is pretty straightforward, so I think it was Mazda trying to not have to pay for warranty work and wanting me to go away.
Evidence: the recent TSB telling dealerships that condensation in the tail lights is normal and acceptable.

Here is a thread discussing the new TSBs. It looks like Mazda realized the first version of the TSB was ridiculous and revised it to say fog was okay but water inside is not.

Here is the TSB from Sept. 09 that said do not fix condensation. http://www.finishlineperformance.com...6-09-2086a.pdf

Yeah, calling Mazda NA next week crossed my mind as well. I will give it a shot.
