Just turned 3000 miles on my 8 and my CEL came on last night. Car seems to be normal except for the light; no loss of power, no sputtering, nothing unusual. Checked the gas cap and it was tight. Also checked most of the threads on CEL's here and still don't know if it's ok to continue to drive the car until I can get in into the dealer to have them check it. What do you think, drive it normally today until I can take it in tomorrow or let it set today until tomorrow??? Thanks for any advice....

Yes, Drive normal nothing to worry about..only if you don't see any loss in power that is..Its just picking up on a sensor.. Most liky the o2.. emmisions are off. you have all the flashes right.. check that.. but hey, just take it to the deale.. its proby nothing more then the converter.

No big deal - drive like normal. Just drop by your favorite service dept sometime this week for them to read the code and shut it off.

Thanks guys, after running some errands this afternoon and evening, the CEL is now off. Seems like I read somewhere that it will reset itself after so many start-ups and shut-offs if it's something minor like a loose gas cap, which I did check and thought it was tight. I always double check to make sure the cap is on tight but maybe I didn't this one time, even though I've run through a half tank of gas before the light came on. Oh well, It's due for an oil change this week anyway, I'll make sure they check it out....
