There are threads advocating this here too.

The only conclusion that many of us have really come to is that the DSC/TCS system is implemented differently between years and/or trims.

It is indeed face palming when anyone thinks that the ability to perform donuts equates to more power at the crank...

Dynos read low with the DSC on because it activates when the front wheels are stationary. Disabling the DSC is correct for testing.

Whether it helps on the road? You're going to have to post some data supporting that theory.

False.

I ran 9 dyno runs on my RX-8 a few years back during a charity event where it was $20 for 3 pulls. All 9 runs were within 5tq/hp of each other, and I played with all the tricks. No changes, tapping it off, holding it down to trigger the cut off, pulling the abs fuse, etc...

No change except fluid and air temp.

I've been thinking about it, and the only way that it would add any amount of anything is if your ignition or wiring was totally shot, and reducing the total electrical load could allow the alt to handle everything more effectively.

The same goes for disconnecting the EPS and anything else electrical. Hey, that guy should try disconnecting the ECU and see how much more power he makes!
