Fastest Right Angle Turn?

Just out of curiosity.....What is the fastest anyone has taken a right angle corner? Even a sloppy one where you veer into the other lane...??? All things being equal, good tire tread, no gravel, dry road...how easily will you lose traction? Just curious....

Sounds about right on the OEM tires. Tons and tons of body roll at that speed though.

Depends on the size of the intersection and how many empty lanes are available. I've taken some at 45, some I can't do more than 20.

Researching this topic, I've found that any turn taken at more than 40 mph can lead to the spillage of my adult beverage of choice resting in my cupholder. This being said, please do not drink and drive!

Well, you didn't qualify your question by saying anything about a successful execution of the turn!

Approx. 52 MPH
1 hand on the steering wheel
1 hand on the gear shift
DSC off for the first time
No knowledge of driving a rear wheel drive sports car

A very important lesson learned. drmrw, please be careful!

Ya, I think i'll keep both hands on the wheel! When you turn DSC off, is it much easier to break the rear end lose?

Stock tires don't do it nearly as well at 9,000 miles as they did when new.

Might want to go try this at a sanctioned motorsports event. say like

Autocross. 40 is about all you are going to get till you upgrade tires to DOT-R compounds.
