even better
I just bought the last available 2011 RX-8 Grand Touring model in the State of Washington (according to AutoTrader.com). It reminds me of my old 1985 RX-7 GSL-SE, only much better. I loved that RX-7, and am loving this RX-8 even more. I can't stop smiling!

I tried
I tried to upload some pics of my new RX-8 this morning, but RX-8club.com wouldn't let me. Said they were too large. I don't know, they uploaded just fine to Facebook. I used to be a pretty computer literate guy, but in my old age I seem to be getting stupider.

You can just paste the link to the pictures as an image and they will show in your post. But you have to get the direct link to the image... right click and view image, then you can copy the link from there. Should look like http://a3.photos.ak.fb at the beginning of the URL or something to that extent.

You're right...
That only works if he hosted the image somewhere. If it's just on his PC or laptop, then that won't work. He just needs the file to be smaller. You can make sure it's a jpeg, reduce the resolution, and reduce the size sometimes helps(8 x10 at 72pixels per inch is good). I'm guessing it's coming right of his camera and the file is huge!
One other gripe I have with RX8Club is that when I post a message here, I am very careulf to UNCHECK the "Publish to Facebook" box, but it goes ahead and posts the message on my FB page anyway.
Looks like I will have to load a few (like 3) of my "Eight" pics into MS Paint and shrink them manually so I can show off my new little beauty to you fellow enthusiasts.

first "road trip"
Before I mess with those pics, I just gotta relate the story of my first "road trip" (a short one) to you folks (no one else would appreciate it).
So anyway, I headed out of Seattle east on I-90 heading for North Bend and the Outlet Store Mall (my wife wanted to go shopping and I wanted to go for a ride, so it worked out well for both of us).
After you get past Issaquah on I-90, the speed limit jumps up to 70 mph, so I had my little "Eight" rolling along at about 73 or 74 on the speedometer, in sixth gear with my foot resting lightly (barely depressed) on the accelerator, at about 3500 rpm on the tach, that beautiful rotary engine was just purring right along, telling me "this is where I belong, out on the road, I'm in my comfort zone, but if you need more from me, I've got plenty yet to give!" I am certain that it would cruise and purr just as comfortably at 100 mph along the Autobahn. As I have told my friends "This car WANTS to be driven!" and boy, do I ever enjoy driving it. It is hard not to "gush" when talking about it. And to top it all off and make everything "perfect", I had my '50s and '60s R 'n' R hits CDs playing in the in-dash 6 disc CD player/changer with the Bose surround sound system. It just don't get no better than that! I was havin' fun, fun, fun, and my daddy wasn't gonna take my little "Eight" away <grin>
Okay, that's enough, I gotta see if I can get some pics up here for you folks.

pics are a pain
So I uploaded the three best pics into MS Paint and stored them out to my Desktop as JPEGs.
Nope, RX8Club says they are still too big. So I guess I'll have to "shrink" them. Only way I know how to do that is to use the "ZoomBrowser" software that came with my Canon camera. It will let you "shrink" pics when you want to email them. So I guess I'll just shrink them and email them to myself, and then load them up here. What a pain...
I just noticed that RX8Club will let you upload four (!) pics at once, so I guess I can pick out one more to share with you folks. Give me a few more minutes...

well, that was a pain...
Well, that was a real pain in the butt, but at least I finally got them up here. Still, they are pretty low rez, but at least you can tell what my "Eight" looks like.
So okay, I have let it all hang out and am ready to see your comments and responses now.

a small mistake
So I guess I got the second to last one in the state. I still love it anyway!
